Regional dance centre of Ostrobothnia Moves to the Newly Renovated Fanny Cultural Centre

Starting in August 2026, the Regional dance centre of Ostrobothnias office will be located at the newly renovated Fanny Cultural Centre. We are also delighted to announce that the centre will take over the management of a dedicated dance studio (57.5 m²) within the building.

The studio will be available to professional dance artists in the region, primarily members of Pohjanmaan tanssi ry (Dance Ostrobothnia Association), for individual artistic practice, small-group creative work, and other self-initiated projects, including teaching.

Providing a permanent workspace for dance professionals in the region has long been one of the Dance Centre's key objectives. Such a space creates opportunities to strengthen the professional community, foster artistic collaboration, open activities to the public, and encourage low-threshold peer support and knowledge sharing. We strongly believe that bringing people, creative processes, and diverse interests together under one roof will contribute to an even more vibrant and diverse dance ecosystem in the region.

During the spring season, the dance centre will also begin presenting performances in the historic main hall of Fanny. Fanny Cultural Centre is managed by the City of Vaasa's Cultural and Library Services.
