Sonorous Explorations is a poetic interplay of the human voice and movement. In this improvisation-based performance, the dancers draw inspiration from their surrounding space, interact with one another, and reveal inner landscapes of the mind through sound and dance. In the choreography, the human voice becomes an organic element of dance and movement within the space.

Malviniemi Company
Malviniemi Company (MCo) is a contemporary dance group based in Vaasa, founded in 2011. Under the artistic direction and choreography of Mia Malviniemi, the group has created a total of 13 dance works, along with numerous performances for events, art exhibitions, and site-specific productions in diverse settings. MCo's works are characterized by live music as part of the choreography, with several pieces featuring specially composed music.
Since 2016, the group has also produced creative dance activities and performances for seniors. Through the Artist at Home initiative, the group offers creative dance sessions for elderly individuals.
The group collaborates extensively with various cultural organizations, municipalities, and social and health care actors. Its activities receive annual support from the City of Vaasa, as well as project-based funding from foundations, the state, and regional councils.
