Alexia Buono workshop in October

On Saturday, 26 October from 13:00 to 15:00, we will host a workshop with Alexia Buono at Dance School Kipinä!
This workshop explores how emerging strategies can be applied by dance and performing arts educators to promote the values of liberation, justice, and inclusivity in their teaching.
Emergent Strategy, developed by Adrienne Maree Brown, is a framework rooted in nature, somatics, and social justice movements in the United States.
Critical somatic movement literacy refers to students, teachers, and artists being aware of their bodies and able to create meaning and act through bodily sensing, feeling, movement, perception, and experience.
Participants will engage in somatic practices, artistic activities, and discussions on how the elements and principles of Emergent Strategy and somatic movement literacy can be integrated into their own teaching.
