Kiertoliike 2025 programme announced! The tenth Kiertoliike looks to the future. Thursday’s programme at G Livelab expands perspectives on futures, futures power, and the possibilities of influencing our shared tomorrow, while Friday deepens the theme by offering space and tools for reflection and for strengthening change agency. Expand your view of the future
On Thursday 22 May, the discussions will focus on the future, futures power, and ways to influence what lies ahead. During the day, three keynote talks will be heard. Mikko Dufva, Leading Specialist at Sitra, in his talk “Have You Bought a Used Future?” explores what futures power means, why expanding it is important right now, and how each of us can examine and broaden our own futures power. Dr. Sanna Ryynänen’s keynote “The Hope of Art – The Art of Hope” asks where hope comes from, how art creates hope, and how artists can stay connected to it. Dr. Marcin Poprawski’s English-language keynote “Powerless or Powerful? The Possible Future of Performing Arts” invites reflection on the paradoxical realities, roles, expectations, and possible futures of performing arts and their organisations.
Deepen your thinking
On Friday 23 May, the programme moves to the natural surroundings of Niihama, offering space and tools for reflection and for strengthening change agency. The programme includes workshops, group discussions, and relaxation in the forest. The day’s themes include influence, presence and pause, and climate emotions. Workshops will be led by Virpi Koskela, Pääsky Miettinen, Pilvi Porkola, and Juni Sinkkonen. The day concludes with informal social time with pancake making and sauna.
Kiertoliike will be held on 22–23 May 2025 in Tampere. The theme of the event is Dance as an Agent of Change, offering dance professionals tools and new perspectives for navigating the future. The event is open to all dance professionals: artists, educators, producers, and key stakeholders in the field.
