A performance that will have you jumping for joy!
UP – DOWN – UP – DOWN – UP – is an interactive dance performance for children (3+) that invites us to experience the joy and power of movement! The performance also explores the dynamic and vibrant relationship between the body and our emotions. At the heart of the performance is a large white bouncy castle that unfolds before us, transforming into a collective space of joy and happiness.
UP – DOWN – UP – DOWN – UP – takes us on an interactive adventure in which we search for happiness, both individually and collectively. The work is based on an original format called a “work-formance”, which begins with a movement workshop and continues into a performance where the children themselves become the protagonists of the movement.
Just a little further – and soon we’ll arrive at a wonderful place where happiness flourishes!
The work is choreographed by Jernej Bizjak and performed by dancers Katja Mustonen, Janne Aspvik and Virva Torkko-Munoz.
The Little Ostrobothnia dances tour, produced in collaboration between Dance Theatre Minimi and the Regional Dance Centre of Ostrobothnia, brings dance to young audiences in schools and kindergartens across the cities in the centre’s operating region. The work can also be experienced in a public performance at Ilmiöiden Yö in Seinäjoki on Friday, 4 September at 4 PM at Kalevan Navetta.
