Description

Janne Aspvik’s dance piece Anskri begins its tour on 7 May 2022 in Vörå!

The contemporary dance work Anskri asks: can trauma have positive consequences? How do we move forward from here? What kind of world will we leave behind, and for whom?

Loosely based on the different stages of grief, Anskri will tour Swedish-speaking Ostrobothnia in spring and summer 2022, with performances in Jakobstad, Vörå, Närpes, and Vaasa. Alongside the performances, workshops will be organised for local participants.

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to perform in the piece alongside professional dancers. The performances and workshops are suitable for people of all ages who are interested in dance, physical expression, and art.

The tour is supported by the Regional Dance Centre of Ostrobothnia, Svensk-Österbottniska Samfundet, Arts Promotion Centre Finland, Svenska Kulturfonden, and several regional partners.
