Work experience:
Eleni Pierides has worked as an independent dancer and performer both nationally and internationally since 2008. She has developed her own artistic practice in Central Ostrobothnia, supported by a state artist grant and other personal working grants between 2018–2022.
Eleni initiated and led a four-member working group for her self-produced project Kädetön – Unarmed (premiere at the Ykspihlaja Cultural Weeks 2023), and directed the year-long artist residency project DANCE ALL YEAR LONG KOKKOLA (2020).
She has extensive experience as a dance pedagogue, facilitator, and art educator for groups of all ages and abilities in diverse contexts. Between 2016–2022, she also worked as a dance teacher for students requiring special support and as the Head of Art Studies at the Central Ostrobothnia Folk High School.
Since January 2023, Eleni has served as the Executive Director of the Regional Dance Centre of Ostrobothnia.
